The W. W. Lewis Library has approximately 15,000 books and serves 800 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students as well as 50 faculty and staff members. We are a fully automated resource center. Our card catalog may be accessed from any one of seven patron search terminals in the library as well as any classroom in a Calcasieu Parish school. The administrative terminal manages circulation and generates statistical data. In addition to the card catalog, the patron terminals are also equipped with internet access for student investigations as well as Scholastic Reading Counts.  Each six weeks the three students who have earned 100 or more points are rewarded with a pizza party in the library. Flexible scheduling and team planning are integrating the library program with classroom instruction in an attempt toward more interdisciplinary learning.
